STORY
A rich family history
In 1956 John Arevian bought Avenue Hardware in Westmount and for nearly 20 years ran a well-known neighbourhood hardware store. In 1975 Avenue Hardware became Arevco Lighting. In the early years he specialized in sourcing the best quality light bulbs, particularly low voltage halogen as well as a selection of imported quality light fixtures. He expanded his offering with an in-store line of fixtures fabricated with quality brass and bronze parts imported from Italy.

In 2001 Hera Arevian opened Arevco Lighting Ottawa as a small lighting boutique in trendy Westboro. In 2012 the store expanded to a new 3000 sq. ft. showroom. Hera and her qualified team have gained a reputation for providing attentive customer service, in-depth lighting expertise, consultation and repair work. On-line shopping is maintained and operated by Arevco Lighting Ottawa.

In 2024 Hera made the hard decision to retire and sold the company to Courtney Wellman and Kelly Lacroix, loyal employees to the company. Courtney and Kelly are passionate about ensuring everyone's project gets the same attention and respect they deserve. With over 30 years combined in customer service and design, they work to ensure you find the perfect lighting.

We work with brands from all over the world, from classic and world famous designs from Artemide to new comers in the Canadian market like Accord Lighting from Brazil. We haven't forgotten about Canada, we have a large collection of Canadian lighting as well.

We have become very familiar with working with European brands and will always do our best to ensure that these fixtures are certified for Canadian installation.

SHOWROOM
Don't just hang there make a statement
Our showroom, located in Ottawa, Ontario is a boutique style showroom with a specially curated collection of lighting displayed. We choose our display lighting with the newest and most unique fixtures we love. We do our best to have samples from all the brands that we carry.

REPAIRS
Sometime it just needs a little love
Our experienced staff can expertly restore and rewire just about any type of lamp or fixture, including incandescent, halogen, and European sockets.
From a simple table lamp to a chandelier we can help with most re-wires and repairs. We can re-wire to add length to a pendant or change a socket, our technician will do her best to get your job done.
